2018 Placida Vineyard Russian River Pinot Noir
DescriptionLocated in the heart of the Russian River Valley, the Placida Vineyard shares the deep and very well drained Sebastopol Sandy Loam Soils with ultra-premium Pinot Noir producers such as Delhinger, Kistler, and Paul Hobbs. From this world renowned wine growing region, this single-vineyard designate, equal parts Dijon Clone 115 and Martini Clone, Pinot Noir is a complex yet still very approachable wine, with mouthwatering black cherry, quince, bramble, and spice. Fermented 30% whole cluster with native yeasts, the vineyard really shines through. Aged 16 months in 25% new French oak the wine is racked once and bottled unfined and unfiltered.
