Discuss a Winery Celebration

Final guest capacity depends on the event format, indoor and outdoor setup, weather plan, staffing and estate schedule.

Why Hamilton

Small enough to feel personal. Special enough to feel like Sonoma.

Hamilton is not a traditional banquet hall or large-scale event compound. It is a working family winery where gatherings feel connected to the place, the wine and the people hosting them.

That smaller scale gives us room to create celebrations with warmth and character rather than forcing every group into the same standard event package.

01

Personal from the beginning

Your inquiry is handled by the people who understand the winery, the spaces and the rhythm of the guest experience.

02

Hamilton wine at the center

Build the occasion around a guided tasting, welcome pour, bottle service, paired dinner or celebratory toast.

03

Flexible without feeling generic

We shape the setting, timing and service around the group while protecting what makes the winery feel intimate and relaxed.

04

A real sense of place

The tasting room, patios, vineyard views and olive grove give each gathering a distinctly Kenwood backdrop.

The Tasting Room & Grounds

A setting that changes with the occasion.

Gather inside the tasting room, move into the olive grove, settle beneath the cabanas or create an easy flow between indoor and outdoor spaces.

01

The Tasting Room

Our warm indoor space is best suited to smaller gatherings, private tastings and intimate dinners, and provides the most protected option when the weather turns.

02

Patio & Cabanas

Comfortable outdoor seating creates an easy setting for welcome pours, grazing boards, casual celebrations and groups that want room to move.

03

The Olive Grove

Tables beneath the olive trees bring the winery setting into the experience and work beautifully for hosted tastings, lunches and early-evening gatherings.

04

A Plan for the Day

Final capacity and space use depend on the event format, seating plan, season and weather. Every proposal identifies the setting that works best for the group.

Wine & Food

Build the gathering around what belongs on the table.

Hamilton wines anchor every private event, whether the occasion begins with a welcome pour, unfolds through a guided tasting or settles into bottles shared over dinner.

01

Welcome Pours & Toasts

Begin with sparkling wine, a seasonal favorite or a selected Hamilton pour that immediately sets the tone.

02

Tastings & Bottle Service

Incorporate a guided tasting, curated wine progression or relaxed bottle service throughout the gathering.

03

Hamilton Kitchen Additions

Seasonal boards, snacks and small bites may be added to select events based on the menu, group size and kitchen schedule.

04

Catered Celebrations

For dinners and more substantial menus, outside catering and rental needs can be discussed as part of the event proposal.

For Exceptional Occasions

A limited number of vineyard estate celebrations may be considered.

Beyond the tasting room, the Hamilton family vineyard estate offers an especially private wine-country setting for select celebrations requiring a more expansive and highly customized approach.

Estate occasions are considered individually based on the concept, guest count, production requirements, calendar and impact on the property.

Availability is limited. Estate use is offered by private consultation rather than as a standard venue package.

Begin a Private Consultation

Planning the Experience

A beautiful event starts with a plan for the whole day.

Every proposal considers the guest experience, winery operations and the practical details that allow the celebration to feel easy once everyone arrives.

01

Guest Count & Layout

The right number depends on the format.

A seated dinner, standing reception and hosted tasting each use the winery differently. Final capacity is confirmed after the event format and layout are understood.

02

Weather Planning

Outdoor beauty needs an indoor strategy.

Events using the patio, cabanas or olive grove require a weather plan appropriate to the season, guest count and available protected space.

03

Food & Beverage

Wine, menus and service are planned together.

Hamilton wine anchors the beverage experience. Kitchen additions, catering, rentals and service requirements are confirmed as part of the proposal.

04

Vendors & Rentals

Some celebrations need a little more infrastructure.

Depending on the event, additional tables, chairs, linens, tabletop pieces, lighting, catering equipment or vendor support may be required.

05

Timing & Staffing

Setup and cleanup are part of the calendar.

The event window accounts for guest arrival, service, vendor access, setup, breakdown and the level of staffing needed to host the group properly.

06

Parking & Property Flow

The arrival experience matters too.

Parking, transportation, regular winery operations and movement between spaces are considered before the event plan is finalized.

Why capacities are confirmed individually

Our indoor and outdoor spaces can support different numbers depending on seating, weather and production needs. Rather than publish one misleading maximum, we recommend the setting that will actually feel comfortable for your event.

Discuss Your Event

Good to Know

Before the invitations go out.

These answers provide a starting point. Final details are confirmed in the proposal created for your gathering.

How many guests can Hamilton accommodate?

Capacity depends on whether the gathering is seated or standing, which spaces are being used and whether the weather plan requires everyone to fit indoors. Share your estimated guest count and we will recommend the most realistic format.

Does every event require a full winery buyout?

No. Reserved group gatherings may be hosted during select tasting-room hours without exclusive use. Private and after-hours events are available when the occasion requires greater privacy.

Can we bring an outside caterer?

Outside catering may be considered for dinners and events requiring a more substantial menu. Caterer access, equipment, cleanup and service requirements must be approved in advance.

Can we serve beverages other than Hamilton wine?

Hamilton wine is central to every event. Any additional beverage requests are reviewed individually and must fit the approved event plan, service requirements and applicable licensing conditions.

What happens if the weather changes?

Outdoor events require an approved weather strategy. Depending on the guest count and event format, this may involve moving indoors, adjusting the layout or arranging additional weather protection.

Are children and non-drinkers welcome?

Yes, depending on the event. Please include ages and the number of non-drinking guests in the inquiry so the service plan can be shaped appropriately. Alcohol is served only to guests age 21 and older.

Can we have music or entertainment?

Music and entertainment requests are considered based on the event timing, space, equipment, volume, neighboring properties and overall production needs.

Who handles setup and cleanup?

Responsibilities are outlined in the event proposal. Additional staffing, rental delivery, vendor setup and extended cleanup may affect the final event minimum.

Are deposits and cancellation terms required?

Yes. Deposit requirements, payment timing, final guest-count deadlines and cancellation terms are provided once the date and event proposal are confirmed.

Can we book the Hamilton vineyard estate?

A limited number of vineyard estate occasions may be considered by private consultation. Estate use is not offered as a standard venue package and depends on the event concept, calendar and property requirements.
