A small winery moment worth celebrating

Awards are not why we make wine, but they are a meaningful point of recognition, especially for a small family winery producing in limited quantities.

The North Coast Wine Challenge brings together wines from across the region, including Sonoma, Napa, Mendocino, Lake, Marin, and Solano counties. To see two Hamilton wines recognized in that field is something we are proud to celebrate and even more excited to share with guests in Kenwood.

2025 Rosé of Grenache · Double Gold · 97 Points

Our 2025 Rosé of Grenache is estate-grown from Hamilton Family Vineyards in Sonoma Valley. The judges recognized it for its “super fresh bracing acidity,” which captures exactly what we love about this wine: energy, freshness, and a clean, refreshing finish.

Grenache gives rosé a beautiful balance of bright fruit and gentle texture. That is what makes this bottle feel just as at home in the olive grove on a warm afternoon as it does around the table with friends.

It is one of our favorite seasonal releases, bright enough for spring and summer, but expressive enough to feel like more than a simple patio wine.

2025 Lyon Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc · Gold · 93 Points

Our 2025 Lyon Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc comes from a single vineyard in Alexander Valley and earned Gold with 93 points at the 2026 Press Democrat North Coast Wine Challenge.

The judges described it as distinctive, with dried green herbs, hints of jasmine, and honey. It is bright, aromatic, and beautifully suited to fresh cheeses, seafood, sunny afternoons, and the lighter meals we start craving this time of year.

It also offers a lovely counterpoint to the Rosé of Grenache: one wine all freshness and pink-fruited lift, the other crisp, herbal, and quietly expressive.
